Who this qualification is for

Experienced construction workers who supervise others, coordinate work activities, or have responsibility for a team on site. If you already plan, allocate and check other people’s work, this NVQ lets you demonstrate that competence through the work you do.

No. The NVQ is work-based, so you are assessed on the work you already carry out rather than attending classroom study.

Evidence comes from your supervisory role. It may include observation of you supervising work, work allocation and briefing records, progress records, photographs, witness testimony where appropriate and professional discussion with your assessor.

No. CSCS lists this qualification as accepted for the Gold Supervisor card for the Occupational Work Supervisor occupation, but you must also meet the other current requirements, including the Specialist Supervisory CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. The card is not awarded automatically.
